After Chris Fehn made allegations on the misappropriation of funds earned by the band and his pursuit of a lawsuit it was only a matter of time that we heard from the band. Fehn has claimed that money was being filter through various companies which led him to request a complete audit of the bands funds and hard assets.
Slipknot released on their site the following statement:
A message from Slipknot
Slipknot’s focus is on making album #6, and our upcoming shows around the world, our best ever. Chris knows why he is no longer a part of Slipknot. We are disappointed that he chose to point fingers and manufacture claims, rather than doing what was necessary to continue to be a part of Slipknot. We would have preferred he not take the path that he has, but evolution in all things is a necessary part of this life.
Long Live The Knot.
It is unclear if Slipknot will be have a fillin or will be replacing Fehn for their 6th album tour.
