Interview With Andrew from Effurtless
How long have you been in the music industry and what inspired you to start?
Creative writing and poetry got me started. I’ve been doing music for 8 years but have been actually trying to do something with it for 2-3 years now.
Where does your name “Effurtless” come from?
People think a lot of things I do seem like I don’t care but really I’m just not over dramatic. I’m more of an effortless thinker. Things just flow effortlessly.
You’ve got a new mixtape called “Drip” out, what inspired that?
I just started writing with my friend, Tommy Kush, who I’ve known since high school. We call ourselves Gasgang, which stands for grind and shine. Our mix tape is more of a saucy stoner kind of feel. We really just did what we do on a regular basis and wrote about it. The best track on Drip is Projects. It talks about coming up out of the projects. But what’s different is that we are gratifying the projects instead of looking down on them.
If you could collaborate with one artist, who would it be?
What can people expect to see from you in the future? Where can people find your music?
New video coming out for Projects and we are currently working on more of an album with an up and coming producer, iDBeatz. You can hear our new mixtape at soundcloud.com/effurtless.
